Butternut Squash Chia Spelt Waffles



These Butternut Squash Chia Spelt Waffles are a tasty and healthy way to start the day. They are healthy and filling because they have spelt flour, chia seeds, and butternut squash puree in them. Plus, maple syrup makes them naturally sweet, which makes them a great fall treat.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup spelt flour
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butternut squash puree
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or oil

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, combine the spelt flour, chia seeds, baking powder, baking soda, and salt

In another bowl, whisk together the butternut squash puree, eggs, maple syrup, vanilla extract, milk, and melted butter or oil

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined
